That's exactly right: GC has now posited a series of actions that, if committed by any other being, he would find to be unacceptably arrogant, self aggrandizing and cruel. Not that he'll see it that way, of course.

I think that it shows the god of the bible as a reflection of the men that created him. Greedy, arrogant, prone to rage, possessive, sexist, and short sighted. These were men that feared enlightenment, hence it was the evil Satan that humanity the ability to think and weigh good and evil. God wants us as children, just like the leaders of the day that wrote the old testament.
No doubt GC will hit it out of the park with his usual wit and finesse. He is so unlike Jesus it is astonishing.
