And love isn't necessarily marriage, is it? I'm against gay marriage, but then: I am also against most marriages. I think I'm rather a lovely person though... and certainly not a prick, of all things!

That's what I can't really make these people understand. I'm not against people loving eachother. However marriage isn't something that is built on love, no it really is not, and never was. You don't need marriage to be in love, neither do you need love to get married.
