What do you mean? I'm not sure which of Harris' arguments would be particularly relevant to Buddhism. From what I [think I] understand about it, not all Buddhists believe in the existence of deities. And I'm not even sure Harris can really be called a Buddhist. He just seems to like meditation and some Buddhist teachings, from what I can recall.
I'm no Harris fan; he can be criticized for a lot of things (scientism, over-generalizing Muslims, etc), but not that.
A rose by any other name is still a rose. Buddhism filled with supernatural entities, the whole concept of enlightenment is irrational supernatural woo, if you call a supreme being God or if you call a supreme being the Luminous Mind or Nibbana you still have a supreme being. Buddhism by no means atheistic, you take all the supernatural woo out of Buddhism then you have no Buddhism.
Sam Harris believes in Buddhist enlightenment, Buddhist enlightenment is supernatural woo. Sam Harris is a hypocrite because he criticizes others because they believe supernatural and he himself believes supernatual woo. Please explain how that is not hypocritical?
