I have a uber entity I'm particularly fond of.

Why, and what's the reasons you're so fond of it?

It can grant wishes.

I have a Omnipotent God who doesn't grant wishes, your entity sounds lame.

It's never granted me any, but I just know it does. I've seen other people who've had their wishes granted.

Like I said above, "lame entity." How do you know it has granted others wishes or that it's even capable of such a thing.

I believe it exists and is just waiting for me to find it... somehow... I could really use a map... but hey, you gotta have faith.

My God doesn't expect me to find Him, He called me and gave me a road map before hand. He gave me some understanding and I trusted Him, and He taught me how to understand His road map.

Other uber entities that people talk about aren't so awesome, so I don't think they're real. Mine must be.

Like I said above your entity is lame, my God is awesome, full of love and grace, forgiving and faithful, a true friend. Why do you know so little about your entity... oh yeah your entity is lame, sorry I almost forgot.

This Universe was the wish it granted itself. Pretty awesome, huh?

Could not be, my God created because it was His will, His will over rules all else, the wish of your lame entity was a delusion, you should really check out my God, He is great.

I just can't wait for my turn at getting my wish... sadly, some people say that the wish is only granted after you're dead. A minor inconvenience, I'm sure.

My God provides for my needs, so I really need not wish, thankfully. My God provides in this life and the next, again you should check Him out.

Until then, I just need to believe that the entity is there. I don't know its name... maybe I'll wish for infinite knowledge. That should take care of all the things I'm ignorant of. yes... god idea.

I do not have to believe any longer about the reality of my God, He has shown Himself to me many times. I do not need infinite wisdom to know my God or His name. I wouldn't want infinite wisdom, that comes with a responsibility that could only be handled by one who is omnipotent and omnipresent, which my God is, so it's good He is omniscient.

I've always wished for the ability to heal any for of sickness from the living... but now I have a much nobler wish... self cultivation.... maybe that'll get granted before death.

Become a doctor, it takes a bit of work to accomplish, it's better than wishing. You may some time after death become cultivated into a nice garden or you could be just a bunch of weeds.

I can't say much more about this entity, except that it does grant any wish you desire... and that is a very powerful thing to look forward to, don't you think?

By your own admission it hasn't granted you any wishes, so it isn't able to grant wishes as you say, so as I see it by your admission there's nothing to look forward to. You haven't even shown your entity knows who you are because you have to find it, lame entity.

Perhaps, someday, someone will write a book about it... We're waiting for it to grant us the wisdom of the words to put down in writing.

The essay is as lame as the entity is, it hasn't granted you a wish, you haven't shown it has granted anyone a wish. An entity that would grant just any wish would have no responsibility for the ones it grants wishes to. The trouble that comes with the wish would be all your's while the entity sets back and watches you suffer the consequences, without the slightest bit of care or comfort. Lame entity.

Follow the wish giving entity. Believe it's there and you'll get your wish, even if only after death.

No thanks, my God offers so much more than your lame entity, seeing to my needs in this life and giving rewards in the next.

You god sounds non-existant...
Mine actually exists and the wish granting explains to a tee how we find so much suffering in the world... people don't wish to the entity.
Perhaps the entity is interpreting the prayers you send to your god, as wishes sent in his direction and keeps you happy, like that... while your delusion of your god keeps your mind at ease...

Anyway, this entity, a friend of mine, Claudio João was actually dead, saw the light at the end of the tunnel, went there, talked to the entity, wished to be alive, and he came back!
Then he had some cancer, wished it away and it went away.
First hand account of the entity in action!
I'm telling you. It's true. The guy is still alive and cancer-free!

"Needs to be born jewish"? huh? That's fresh... you need to be born in a given family to believe in a particular version of a particular god to have a particular way of worshiping that god?

You hinted that the Rabbi was saying the truth when he said "they worship God in their way, and I worship God in His".
Meaning, to my mind, that you're not worshiping your god in His way (whatever that is and however a person determines it)... but yours... and that's just not right, apparently. So you should turn jew to do it the right way.

To be a Jew you have to be born into a Jewish family, hope this make it simpler for you. Many Jews do not worship or recognize God, we have one on the forum actually. I can no more make myself Jewish than you can make yourself a rock.
I agreed with what the Rabbi said because we are suppose to worship God in His way. Those who worship God in their ways are trying to fit God into their lives instead of them making themselves fir into God's will.

Ah.. you mean jew as in social jew?... well, I meant Jew as in believer in judaism. The people who believe in the god of Abraham, the god of Moses... but not that J.C. was the embodiment of that god.
It would seem that's the correct view. That's how that god wishes to be worshiped... and you're doing it wrong.
Or maybe you're doing it right and they're doing it wrong?
