Even though a lot of atheists seem to share many common views,the only one we all share is a lack of belief in gods.
I see it as being a worldview.
It is a way of seeing the world we live in and how it is arranged.
Buddhists are atheists too, yet my worldview and that of a buddhist are markedly different, so there is clearly something wrong with the criteria you use to determine what a worldview is.
