Did you miss the part of my post where I said "You don't have to care, that's fair enough. I'm not asking you to"?
Well way to call out my reading comprehension skills. Guess I was just loosely free-associating to some of the words in the original post.
But now that you've reframed the question to eliminate wiggle room, let me see. "Do I, quite apart from whether it affects me personally, think it is a good idea for atheists to start their own church?" Hmmm .. no I just can't come down against it without knowing what they hope to get out of it. Of course theists dropping by here to tell us atheism is just another belief system will have more ammo. So for my personal convenience I'd prefer that they call it something else. (Whether my personal convenience should over-rule their own objectives is another question of course.
