I can appreciate why you would feel that way, and I also wish that things would progress faster and that something official would be stated, even while the issue is open.
However, there's a few things to keep in mind. We're in the middle of the holiday season, and people on staff are perhaps not as available as usual. In addition, the staff's physical locations span approximately 8 or 9 time zones from the west coast of the US to mainland Europe. Collaborating on an ad hoc basis under those conditions has it's challenges.
