The UK has a real "Ginger hate" issue that is never taken seriously because it isn't a race. But I don't see how being regularly attacked in the street for your hair colour is any better than being attacked in the street for your skin colour. In fact, I think it's worse because nobody does shit about it. If a black person was walking down a busy street and someone on the other side shouted "N*gger!" at them, they'd quickly regret it when the whole street turns on them; but shout "Ginger!" at a red head in the same situation, people will just laugh like it's perfectly ok. It's really bad. One of my sisters gave up cycling to school because white van men would shout "Ginger!" at her and try to knock her off her bike a few times a week. I hope that if I ever have a red headed kid that this will not be happening any more.
