God wants to lead this child to a future of hope and meaning. Worshipping The Almighty is the most moral thing one can do. God gave this self proclaimed atheist their very life yet they spit on and mock The Lord's sacrifice. Atheist all seem to only care about sex, drugs, and insulting The Lord who offers a better and eternal life.

I don't know what to tell you, except that I disagree. I could get into a huge discussion, but for now I'll try to summarize. We live in what is commonly stated as a christian nation, despite illegalizing things that are encouraged or condoned in the old testament, and the only two of the ten commandments we actually follow are two things that practically any culture would look down on.

For the new testament, the very core of christianity: the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus, has a number of problems. From the writers not getting their facts straight, as well as there being older religions with stories of men who were born of a virgin, taught and had about 12 followers, got killed, and rose again three days later. Not to mention the unfortunate implications of killing an innocent person to satisfy his need to forgive us for crimes of which some come as completely natural and convince him not to send us to a place of his own making for eternity. Far longer than anyone could ever be justly punished for less than a century of sin.

Even if your deity existed, which has been debated for 2-3 thousand years, his decision to let the beliefs of the people of that time dictate what he believed was right and wrong are quite troubling.
