My poor mom

My mom is a very religious, spiritual Christian. Has been for a long time. I "came out" a few days ago, and it broke her heart. She's convinced that she'll be in paradise forever while her son won't, and the fact that she's sad kind of makes me sad. Yesterday, my lil bro told us he doesn't believe in god either, so now she's even more upset. Looking from her point of view, understandably so.

How do you guys console your religious patents? I'm not interested in "de-converting" her or anything, but I feel bad because she feels bad. What do?

Your mum won't be in paradise either: since there's no sadness in heaven and no mother worth her salt could be happy while her family is eternally in pain, the only resolution to that issue is to fundamentally alter your mother's personality so that she's no longer her.

Heaven's basically one huge mind rape. Fun, huh?

This right here is something I have worried about. He's going to have to change our brains so we either don't remember hell, or we actually enjoy watching people get tortured for eternity. Not to mention change us somehow so we can all get along with everyone, including him. I mean you could blame sin for making me who I am, but that's a part of me. You can't drastically change me without me not being me anymore. Neither place appeals to me.
