Also, what would happen if you dressed someone (who has a phobia of clowns) as a clown and then put them infront of a mirror? I've asked this before but I either didn't get an asnwer or i can't remember the answer
1. Rayleigh scattering (scattering off objects smaller than the wavelength) always favours scattering of shorter wavelengths (the scattering decreases with the fourth power of the wavelength). So blue light is scattered away more efficiently, and you see blue in the sky at places perpendicular or even opposite to the light source. In the direction of the light source, especially near the horizon when there is a lot of atmosphere to traverse, you see whatever's left when short wavelengths are scattered away, namely a red sunset/sunrise.
