Pain and suffering transcends all faiths and belief patterns (atheists falls under this; it's not a faith, but an acceptance of a particular reality). It's how you cope with the misery that really makes the difference.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
