Everyone seems to be really pissed with BF4 but it is awesome for me. I got it a few days ago and I'm barely having any issues. I've enjoyed it so much I've played more of this than any other game I got in the last year.
The only things I could even complain about is the joining error which takes 30 secs to fix. (I just restart origin and log out and back in of battlelog.) and 1 time I was trying to shoot over a thing and it was hitting it when I was aiming 1/2 a foot over it.
Other than that my bullets register better than they do on most games for me. The rubber-banding people go on about happens very rarely to me and is usually because of my internet. I've bumped into only 1 hacker and s/he was kicked in about 30 secs. It has its bugs and glitches like any other game but nothing that puts me off playing.
I'm not sure if I'm really lucky, the EU servers are a bit better than US?? or that everyone is overly critical and jumping on the fuck EA/DICE bandwagon. Hell, I'm considering spending a load of money to upgrade my PC so I can play ultra with more frames. Well that and I'd like to play the DayZ standalone + ARMA 3 without looking at a confusing blur.
My recommendation for BF4 is get it cheap from a a CD code site, get it soon ready for player appreciation month (lots of free stuffage). Don't take it too seriously or you'll get mad no matter how good or bad it is. Most of all put the time in to learn the maps and weapons. For the first months of any game, even more so with big battlefield like maps it takes a while to learn how to play it.
Oh and Defib some enemy players its fucking hilarious.
