I actually counted those parts of earth in my initial post, which is actually more telling of how completely untuned this shit really is. And frankly, I think I agree with Napo too: 95% does seem like I lowballed it.
Add time into the equation and of the 4.5 billion years that the planet has existed it is only in the last 300 million years that there has been enough oxygen on the planet to support us.
Of course if we were to look at the whole universe its more like 1 * 10^-20% of the thing - probably rather less.
