RE: How can a Christian reject part of the Bible and still call themselves a Christian?

Some people just don't know when to stay down.
These verses only say the old laws are obsolete but neither one is specific as to which ones. Jesus helps to clarify that we can still get to Heaven, even though Christians break the 4th commandment by moving the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, the holy day of the Roman pagan gods, but the laws are still in force and there will be a hierarchy based on adherence to these old laws.
Now, as True Christians we believe that when Jesus sacrificed himself on a cross as the only means to convince himself to forgive all of us for being sinful beings (which we are because an ancestor of ours ate a magic fruit after speaking to a talking snake) he "fulfilled" the old laws. Now, it's never explained as to why blood sacrifice fulfills laws but we don't question how the Lord works his ways. What's important to know is that all the old laws are still in effect because...
So it looks like you're going to be serving me as my valet when we get to my mansion in the sky.
So yes, sin brought death into the world but those who don't repent get the second death. If Paul was referring to the judgment of Jesus in the afterlife, he'd have wrote "are worth of the second death".
Not so! I'M A TRUE CHRISTIAN . AND YOU CAN TELL BY MY ABUSE OF THE "ALL CAPS" BUTTON AND EXCESSIVE USE OF EXCLAMATION POINTS TO COMPENSATE FOR MY LACK OF EVIDENCE FOR MY ASSERTIONS!!!!!
And as a True Christian I believe ALL the Holey Bible and not just the cherry picked parts. I abstain from going to Red Lobster knowing the dumb ass phony Christians like you will be at my feet.

Jesus Wrote:Matthew 5:17-18 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Jesus Wrote:Matt 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Quote:The bible doesn't condem love between people with similar body parts. It condems sexual acts between them.I did say people with similar body parts doing the nasty. As True Christians , we don't ask why the Lord is so preoccupied with those predisposed to finding mates with similar body parts. Ours is not to ask questions but to simply believe what we're told.
Quote:Anyone who refuses to follow God's calling will "die". In the bible death is often referred to as not receiving eternal life, which is what he speaks of here in both senses. In fact, we're all worthy of death because we're all sinners.Nice try but you'd do better to go with JuliaL's interpretation of scripture. You see, the Wholly Babble is clear on what the death of the spirit on Judgment Day shall be.
Quote:Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. You see, the damnation of sinners who are cast into the lake of fire is called "the second death", distinguished from the first death which is just plain death. And the second time's a charm.
So yes, sin brought death into the world but those who don't repent get the second death. If Paul was referring to the judgment of Jesus in the afterlife, he'd have wrote "are worth of the second death".
Quote:I think you have that reversed.
