Hello sae. How are ya?
I think it's pretty much about your view on humanity as a whole. Based on what you have seen and heard. Your view on humanity and it's intellect could be effected by humans and their lack of compasion/care for others. Racism, discrimination and corruption. Fellow human beings letting other human beings suffer from starvation, lack of health treatment, lacking in housing and destroying habitats. I have a low view on humanity's intellect based on it's oil used, war, discrimination and the destruction of life. However I have some faith in human intellect when fellow human beings witness suffering and actually care. I don't have much faith on humanity. Probably because I've seen too much villainy, corruption ect, ect. I don't see too much kindness/compasion. I see some but not alot. So my faith in humanity is very low at the moment.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
