I don't understand your last post, please explain.

"Were you there?" is literally the most intellectually bankrupt thing it's possible to ask in this case, because you only want to apply it to us: since we weren't there we can't say anything about the past, but neither were you, and your relying on your faith to circumvent, through fiat assertion, the contention you have with our position, is merely special pleading. To be clear, we both have information leading us to our conclusions about the past- ours is exhaustively studied evidence, and yours is an old book written by anonymous authors- but you're wanting to dismiss ours out of hand because we weren't there, and yet keep yours... despite the fact that you weren't there either.

What's the difference between the two? Well, our position is supported by evidence, and you just want to believe yours more, despite having no evidence at all. It's profoundly dishonest.

Oh, and you're still a monkey, biologically speaking. That's just... scientific consensus.
