I think it's human nature to assign blame in the most simplistic singular method because our perspectives are not all encompassing. I would also disagree that it's all humanities fault and rephrase it to it's all a human's fault, if not nature.
Blame should be primarily distributed to the primary causes... and the minor causes (that don't appear directly related to the circumstance at hand) should be recognized as factors and receive very minute amounts of blame if they are recognized.
