It seems like most homophobes are secretly self-loathing homosexuals. So with that kind of self-repression and self-hatred I wouldn't be surprised that you'd die younger.

I have no doubt that there are a substantial number of homophobes who are self hating homosexual but I don't think you can objectively claim that most are though I beleive the percentages increase the more liberal your environment.

If you are from Uganda or Malaysia homophobia is the norm and most people are homophobic on the other hand if you are in the liberal west where homophobia is judged by society to be a bad thing you need an active reason to be homophobic and really that is likley to be mostly down to three issues 1) You belong to a homophobic religion such as Islam or biblically literal Christianity 2) you are a bully by nature and will attack any group who are marginalised and you think you can bully with impunity (which is often the case in Russia) or 3) You are indeed a self loathing homosexual.

I , amusingly , had the opposite. My mother seemed quite disappointed that none of her sons were gay because in her line of work most men are gay and she is a bit of a fag hag. My father's entire comments on gays was " there is a lot of money in gays".
