Belief in God is supposed to answer the question of "whats's the point of life". It only seems to throw even more questions up, like:
Quote:1. Why not just kill yourself, rather than risk you becoming an Atheist later in life? After all, if you were to die in a car crash at that point you'd go to heaven. Heaven is great and much better than this life apparently.the teaching of salvation Christ instilled was not about going through a ceremony, but living a life style. The point of 'salvation' does not happen in this life but the next one when one is 'saved' from Judgement and damnation. To kill yourself would not be the typical 'fruit' of one who has the relationship needed for salvation.
Quote:2. Why not just create only heaven?quite simply not everyone wants to goto Heaven. From Satan's pov Heaven is eternal Slavery to a God he hates. Hell as bad as it is, represents freedom from God and all He has created.
Quote:3. Why bother with such a large universe, when all you really need is a church and someone to tell you what to believe.Eternal universe.. Eternal life... Hmmm it sound like we get star ships and get to explore it.
Maybe some 'we' get to go on some sort of Star Trek...
Quote:4. Why create death? Even if humans need to die so they get to heaven, there's no need for animals to die of old age. (It's almost like humans are animalsDeath is us waking up from whatever matrix we are plugged into that has us in this world while we will actually live in the next.)
Death is just the transition from one state of existence to the next.
Quote:I'm sure there a hundreds more.
I personally think the Christian point of life is a lot more disturbing and depressing than the average Atheists. Thinking I'm just in one very long test that I can never be totally sure I'm going to pass would make my life very miserable.
You don't seem to understand Christianity very well if this is what you truly think.
