This was a response to - what are the chances of there being a God.
I will accept your assessment, but:
There is a 50% chance of that creator God being a deist God - not interested in you or anyone else or the planet or, probably, any of the events within the universe.
That makes your odd 25%
Now there are/have been 4,500 religions with more than 10,000 members on the earth. Each claims it is right and all the others are wrong.
There is a finite possibility that none of them are right, of course, that there is a theist God but no-one is worshipping him.
Your odds are now slipping to (1/4)*(1/4500)
No need to calculate it, because there's more:
There are 41,000 different churches - again each claims to be the only true path and that all others are wrong.
So your odds are now
(1/4)*(1/4500)*(1/41000) or 1 in 738,000,000
Peachy - get praying immediately - but pray you've got the right God because if you are praying to the wrong one you must be really pissing him off. How often do you pray by the way?
Probably better to ease off on that - don't want to keep reminding the real God that you are crediting someone else with his work too often.
Now - what was it you were saying about luck?
