the two assumptions you're having to make: that there was something god needed to forgive in the first place, and that this forgiveness would at all be unjust.

I've never met a perfect person, but I guess you're saying you're it. Excuse me if I don't take that with a spoonful of skepticism.

I guess very few of us atheists are going to hell then, because we certainly don't know there's a god, and are lying to ourselves, despite what some of the more boneheaded christians believe.

I believe you're lying esq. I can't see inside your head, and you might genuinely believe what you say, so I'll give you three benefit of the doubt.
