No. It was not. My contention is morality is subjective. If it is acceptable and within that societies moral guidelines that girls get married at 12 then it is a morally accptable practice. It is not "WRONG" simply because it is not acceptable by YOUR moral standards.

I agree. I don't like it. It is 'wrong' IMO based on MY moral constructs. My morality says sex with a 16 year old is 'wrong'. It's my contention she would be physically matured but far from 'grown-up' psycologically. My personal morality does not change with my geographical location. Am I justified in labeling the societies I find myself in "wrong" because their collective morality differs from mine?
