What, movies and the crackpot theories of new agers? Doesn't it seem like a bad sign when the things you have to point to as examples of your god's rapture are either fictional or crazy?

As for the attributes of children, sure, there are things we want to jettison about them, but in the context, (and some translations use the word- trusting) it would be child-likeness that is recommended.

An overabundance of trust is precisely what's wrong with the idea of being childlike before god; surely you understand what this looks like from the outside, when a religion prizes not asking questions and going with the flow over critical thinking?
