Asserting there's no straw man doesn't mean you didn't use one. 
But since you brought it up, how does one register a right? Now, while you mull over that conundrum, please explain why registration is detrimental. Should we stop registering cars? Pets? Should it be mandatory, a choice, nothing? What and why?
And, KUSA, a bit of extra info pertaining to your straw man; why are you worried about someone confiscating your weapon? Is there something you aren't telling us? Your assertion that registration leads to confiscation begs the question of "Why would you lose your guns?"
