Even if the only effeminate heterosexual men you know of all had the experience of growing up as the only male in the household, to the best of my knowledge, that is just not an experience that is common in heterosexual men who are effeminate.
I don't know if it's common or not with the effeminate male population writ large and I certainly didn't share my experience as a definitive cause considering my limited sample size; merely an observation. If anything I was simply providing an example that further removes the characteristic from the stereotypical assumption of sexual preference.
