The logic fail is not mine, but yours, Chas. You wondered about the veracity of a claim due to the fact that it came from the mouth of a comedic political commentator. If a Christian tells you that 2+2=4, are you going to doubt them because of their religious background, or will you do the math on your own to check their work?
Now, if you want, you can explain whether or not the good doctor is wrong or right, and why it is that you think that. Until then, stop staggering the discussion by delving into semantics, nuances, and irrelevancies.
The amount of traffic fatalities are the reason we have road laws. What exactly are you arguing? That we shouldn't have them?
"When all else fails, make it up". So true; not everyone is willing to fact check every claim, and it's hard to communicate to people that someone has lied.
