Is she a liar? Doesn't sound like it. Is she insane? Well obviously I believe she's suffering from a delusion, but I wouldn't go as far as that. She's one of many people who believes many untrue things, yet sounds like generally a charitable, normalish person. What's the great mystery?
I suppose I think this is mysterious because I seldomly have anything to do with people like her. I know plenty of people who believe in things, which I think are nonsense. Astrology, spirits, homeopathy, aura therapy, 12 step programs, and so on. But to me, that is not the same as her type of religious faith.
I actually don't think she would have a better life if she stopped believing in god, which is a little bothersome to me.
