Maybe I just refuted my proposal.
Your mind comes from something with qualia because it had to. This is similar to the anthropic principle in the fine tuning argument.
However, if there were undifferentiated, protoexperiential qualities at a very basic level of organization, then there would be far more "undifferentiated" minds than "differentiated" minds. Therefore, it would be exceedingly unlikely that your mind would be such an extensively differentiated mind.
