Since you did not look anything up before you posted your rant I challenge you to look up the original answers given to poppie when he first challenged the bible 1700 years ago. Because again if not for the quotations in those answer given and preserved by the church poppie would be lost to time.

Some thirty Christian apologists, such as Methodius, Eusebius, Apollinaris, Jerome, etc., responded to his challenge. In fact, everything known about Porphyry’s arguments is found in these refutations, largely because Theodosius II burned every copy he could find in A.D. 435 and again in 448. (Bolding mine)
Should we be thankful to the church for preserving their responses to Porphyry after burning the copies of the original? You're ok with that?
