If you think this is true then why didn't god just send them straight to heaven, why the need to torture them on earth first? And their parents, why did he torture them with grief etc.?

Also, if what you do on this earthly realm is surplus to requirements regarding going to heaven (it must be for the babies to go to heaven), why doesn't he just send all the "good people" straight to heaven and not create the rest? Why create an earth which obviously isn't needed?

These questions are practically rhetorical because I think the answers are obvious btw.Your god is a dick and Christianity is irrational bullshit which doesn't make any sense, but you're welcome to make excuses for him if you wish.
