I wonder, Lek...if atheism is "simply" the lack of belief in gods why do they get so bent out of shape and go out of their way to mock and revile Christians? Why does God kill babies? Hmmm. Why do atheists care?

I'll repeat. Your god (whatever that is) doesn't bother us. It's you, or rather, the believers in this god thing that bother us. Your behaviour, your actions, and your justification for them. It's impossible for us to get angry at something that doesn't exist. It's like you getting angry at Jean Luc Picard, or the Easter bunny. But if someone came and hit you on the head and said that Jean Luc wanted you thrown in the brig for not following orders, wouldn't you get pissed at that guy's idiocy, and unwarranted and unjustified violence?
