So, in fact, that would be the prime location to take a poop.
The main function of the poop deck is to provide a roof for the admiral's quarters at the back end of the quarter deck.
In HMS victory's prime the punishment for a sailor who fail to pull off his hat to solute a mere midshipmen was 2 dozen lashes. It would not be a good idea to poop over the head of the Vice Admiral Lord viscount Nelson.
Suitable punishment might to be flogging around the fleet, where you would be rowed around the fleet in a long boat, so you can be given 4 dozen lashes with a cat'o'nine tails by the bosun of each and every ship in the fleet. The fleet's physician will accompany you to ensure you do not die prior to the completion of your punishment.
