I agree with what you're saying Shonuff but I can just imagine the argument that will be thrown back. Christianity, unlike Nazism or the KKK isn't (seemingly) founded on an inherent political or social agenda. Religion is different from the KKK or Nazism in the sense that it doesn't necessarily exist to wipe out black people, or get rid of jews. It's still questionable about much of this religion's motives but the 'religious moderates' can always make that argument. They will always say that their religion is fluffy and nice, and that they want to save everyone. They'll still cling onto calling themselves christians because of the fact they see themselves as True Christians™ and all these other negatives are not part of their religion.
I suspect the main reason why many religious moderates aren't more active in exposing or vilifying the extremists is because they simply don't see it as their problem. How can it be, when these extremists aren't representative of their own beliefs? (which is ofcourse their own logic)
