While the word "atheist" strictly refers to the "off" position on god claims, that still does not preclude the individual atheist from holding their own nutty claims. No, I will not give you a pass on conspiracy bullshit. The moon landing was not faked. Oswald acted alone, and 9/11 was not an inside job. You can have other atheists who read horoscopes and others who buy homeopathy .And even si fi wooers tick me off when they treat mere tv shows like documentaries.

And just like economic views, not even then does the word "atheist" mean we all agree. When I see bad claims, I call them out. "atheist" is not a blind loyalty oath to me.

Obviously, you say that because you are the pawn of the Illuminati, who are ruled by Elvis, who faked his death in order to control the world.

Considering there are several modern day neo-nazis who identify as atheists I wouldn't think being an atheist is a ticket to sanity.

Certianly, outside of "off" the only thing you can say about someone is only about the individual. Not even the word "atheist" should be treated like a moral code or loyalty oath.

My best friend is atheist (although he has some very vague pantheistic leaning). He believes (or believed?) that the MMR vaccine leads to autism and is super skeptical about water fluoridation.

Regarding the autism thing, he has an autistic daughter and has admitted to me twice that he wants to find someone to blame. As for the water thing, no matter how many holes I poke in articles he sends, I get him to redact that one article, but his take-home message is still that "we need to do more research". No work on how much research will satisfy his skepticism.

People believe all types of crazy shit besides religion. I am skeptical of God therefore I am skeptical of a lot of other shit. There are so many classified things that we don't know about and never will. Crazy people thinking the government was listening to their cell phones and tracking their internet habits were right but everyone laughed at them. Thankfully Edward Snowden and Julian Assange exposed the government. The freedom of information act also has revealed some interesting things.

From another perspective, we are all enemies of each other, except one aspect of our lives.
This brings us together. If this was a pro gun forum, or pro abortion, or socialist, etc.
Then just imagine (ready for a scary thought?), that we could be siding with Drich, the professor, the rev, etc

For the record, I am pro strawberry ice cream and take no prisoners on this topic!
(Also don't like Toyota drivers (too insecure), VW drivers (too arrogant).
FU All!
No God, No fear.

9-11 was an inside job caused by Oswald's co-conspirators and the others who helped fake the moon landings.

And Oswald wasn't killed, he just went home.

Yes he did, and I saw him last week renting a basement from Elvis who is still alive too.
