Ahh, I'mma have some fun with this one.
Quote:Matter can be neither created nor destroyed, it can only change forms.
That is certainly true within the universe; how do you know it's true without it?
Quote:Therefore, the Universe could not just have appeared out of thin air.
Therefore, god could not have just appeared out of thin air either.
Quote:The Earth also happens to be at exactly the right angle and distance from the Sun, and is set so perfectly in revolutions around the Sun, that the Earth is the only easily hospitable planet we have found so far.
The Earth's distance from the sun varies by several million miles depending on what point it's at in its orbit; our orbital pattern is an ellipse, not a circle. As to your claim about hospitable planets, that's just factually wrong.
Good job so far!
Quote:Our bodies, and the bodies of all other animals on Earth, also happen to be put together so perfectly that we can function with at least several dozen different systems/processes constantly running in our body, making new cells, burning calories, etc.
Asserting design without demonstrating design isn't an argument; you'd be begging the question to say that natural things couldn't run so many different organs without demonstrating that humans aren't naturally formed first.
As to your claim of a perfect design, tell that to my wisdom teeth, appendix, flawed spinal nerves, imperfect knee joints, the blind spot in my eyes, the fact that my retina projects upside down, little toes, cancer, and every deleterious genetic mutation ever discovered. The level of tunnel vision you're displaying here is remarkable.
Quote:The only thing that could lead to all these "coincidences" that make life on Earth possible, and even the existence of Earth and the Universe it is in, is something or someone that can break the laws of science and design/create it all just like that.
How do you know that?
Quote:That someone is God, who is, has always been, and always will be.
How do you know that?
Quote:The Universe and world that we live in is so truly awesome that it could not have originated by chance.
The majority of the universe is an airless vacuum that contains next to nothing and will kill us all near instantly. A lot of the rest of it is on fire, radioactive, exploding, or collapsing in on itself into a physics conundrum we can't begin to unravel. To say the universe is so nice based solely on your dinky suburban existence is, again, a fantastic case of tunnel vision.
Quote:If you ask me, I would say it is pretty obvious that God exists. Just take a look around.
Ugh.
