Ultimately, they want you to join their church so you can put money in their collection plate.

When they ask you for money - politely refuse based on the bible - saying that it is clear that the christ said
Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and
Give to God what is god's.

And then have them join you in a prayer that god supplies the money they want
