Abraham was going to gut and roast Isaac because the crazy old coot wanted the loot. The politicians and bankers that start wars also want the loot and they don't care who gets gutted and roasted as long as it's not them. So from that pov the cases are the same. Get someone else to suffer or die in your place so that you can get the loot. If they survive, that's not so bad but I'm keeping all of the loot for myself and not sharing it with them. If they get killed, then I'll call them heroes and built them a mounument, as long as other people pay for it.
