At the trials of some of the most notorious serial killers in US history (Richard Ramirez and Ted Bundy come to mind) there were "groupies" who admired them, and I think one or two of them were married. At least the crazies celebrating Dahmer's conversion were assuming he'd repented and turned to god instead of trying to become the girlfriend of a guy whose hobby was raping, torturing, and murdering the very same type of young lady who were fawning over him.
