I went through this process myself already. I don't worry about it any more. Christianity has to be the most patently ridiculous of all religions. It collapses under the most superficial examination. I never was that far into it anyway, I never got suckered into the idea of heaven and hell.
Like it or not, you and your brain is all you've got. Enjoy it while you are here. We are all in the same boat so why worry?
It's not immoral to eat meat, abort a fetus or love someone of the same sex...I think that about covers it
