I'd like to know if perhaps the ocean floors were inhabited at one time.. I mean there are flood myths in many cultures right. Maybe we all originated on land that no longer exists?
There is a shitload of land that was once dry, and is now a fair few feet beneath the waves. It's a persistent problem for archaeologists, considering that human civilization has kept itself so close to water for so long. The "ocean floor" no...but the edges of continental shelves, yes, absolutely...that's actually one of the places we'd expect to find the most evidence of human habitation, if it were still available.
To extend that to a conclusion of where we all come from though....that's taking it too far. There aren't many inland seas or ocean floors in africa (that line up with our species timeline).......
