I don't want anybody coming home in body bags from stupid and illegal foreign wars. That's not a good example. I think women should absolutely be allowed to serve in combat voluntarily, as long as they can meet the requirements of service.

Should a woman be allowed to play in the NFL if she, as an individual, has the size, strength, speed and physical skillset which places her, as an individual, on par with other NFL players? Or, should she be barred from playing because, even though she, herself, has all of the necessary physical tools, most other women don't?
I think that's the point of the 'modern feminist movement'. Some women are inferior nurturers to some males. Some females would make better football players than some males. Gender should not matter and no individual should be judged according to a generalization of other people who share a single physical characteristic. That's exactly the sort of mentality which fuels racism and many other dangerous -isms. Judge every individual by their own merits.
