To Blackout: Perhaps it will end in disaster, but sexuality can't possibly be the only reason for leaving her, as I feel that would be perceived as shallow and it would be dumb since I really do care about her. However, I have endured a lot for so long so I'm not sure what I could do to make a "clean break" at this point.
To Tonus: I think he has friends who have told him about these things, or he hears about it on the news, which feeds the perception that "hookup culture" is predominant in America.
