I've read "Consider Phlebas". The Culture seems like a pretty good example of a benevolent post-scarcity society. I have a few more Culture novels other in que on my tablet, but haven't gotten around to them yet.

BTW Rhythm, I found you some new farm hands. Even the migrant workers here in the US won't be immune to the effects of automation. We, as a country, need a forward-thinking plan.
