I bought that book when I was about thirteen, got through a few chapters, and then my Christian parents took it away from me.

I had such a hard time sticking with this book that I'm still not finished with it.
How come? Anything in particular that you can recall? (Also, it's only the length of a short essay, if I remember correctly?)
