To say that this will get better and that I will experience pleasure again is delusional. But to also say that this will never get better is delusional as well. The real truth is that we don't know if it will ever get better.

But if you treat yourself as never being capable of pleasure again, you will give up and you never will be capable of pleasure again. Obviously, the only rational thing to do is act of the assumption that you will be capable of pleasure again.
