The Baha'i creed is based on the Babi creed which had the most violent rules of any religion in the world. According to Abdu'l-Baha who was man number two of Baha'ism, the rules of the Bab in his book called Bayan were like this:
“The utterance of the [book or religion] of Bayan in the day of the appearance of his Highness A`la (meaning the Bab) was to behead, burn the books, destroy the monuments, and massacre [everyone] but those who believed [in the Bāb’s religion] and verified it,” (`Abdu’l-Baha, Makatib, vol. 2, p. 266)
Baha'u'llah, man number one of Baha'ism had stated regarding the laws of the Bayan (naturally meaning the aforementioned too) that:
" I [swear by] He who in His hand is my soul and my essence, a single letter from the Bayan is dearer to me than everything that is in the heavens and the earth,” Asad-Allah Fadil Mazandarani, Asrar al-athar khusuṣi, vol. 5, p. 333"
The Baha'is do not want you to know about these quotes and have thus refrained from translating them into English. But the guys here have done the world a favor and have translated those quotes from original Arabic and Farsi Baha'i books to English:

The followers of the Bab were very violent and started civil wars in Persia. The Persians King wanted the Bab executed but the clerics ruled against it because after seeing the Bab's laws and speaking with him, they reached the conclusion that he was a retard and could not be executed. Anyways, the King finally got him executed because he could no longer tolerate the Civil wars. The followers of the Bab who were pissed by his execution, attempted to assasinate the Persian King but failed. Baha'i man number one, Baha'u'llah, was accused of collaborating with the assassinators and was imprisoned and put on death row. The Russian Ambassador whose country was at that time in a state of conflict/war with Persia and would have benefited by these folks collaborating against the state and inciting civil war, pressured the Persians to release Baha'u'llah from prison and the Baha'u'llah guy owes his life to the Russians. After being freed, he didn't stop his mischievous acts and was exiled to Baghdad then to Akka where he like, his predecessor the Bab, claimed that he was God and created a new religion.
