You have a net force (cause) which is equal to ma, that is mass x acceleration (effect), and these two are equal (Newton's law of motion).

energy is not transferred with 100% efficiency during the cause/effect transaction due to entropy. that's why engine exhaust is hot, heat which is energy on the move hasn't been completely transferred to the effect.

I'm not going to apologize for atheistic origin science. After all these years you certainly would have thought that we'd be just as confident in our knowledge of everything as all those young earth Christians. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to make do with the few sure bits science has managed to conjure up. science and scripture are in agreement. But even without scripture God is revealed to each person via the natural world and his/her consciousness. Everyone has an innate knowledge that their life will exist beyond the grave. Scripture gives more details. for instances, everyone will stand before Christ, the moral ruler of the universe, to give an account of their life.

Work done = kinetic energy + heat loss.
We still have cause = effect
