No argument but mothers are the best as they do most of the child rearing.
The fathers become more important to the children, especially males in terms of role model, later on.
How men can have that special bond with daughters while still not working to give equality to their mothers and wives I will never know.

DL,
Your reasoning is very superficial. What is the prescribed course of action if more than one family is involved? Do I take more seriously the Law of the Sea and let another man's wife and children take a place? Or, do I give precedence to your familial duty maxim and toss the other man's brats overboard to ensure I can continue to provide for mine?
If you want your duty protected then you are duty bound to protect the duty of the other. That is why the captain has a gun. To enforce duty.

I was asking what your questions (Are the women and men you work with paid the same for equal work? Does that make them inferior to men?) have to do with Biblical Christianity.
In our countries, the religious are the vast majority. If women do not presently have full equality it is primarily because of so called religious men. Religious men who have forgotten their duty to family.
