List and discuss points where men and women are not equal in Islam
for each point discussed we will give a point
then weight those points depending on importance
Ugggggggg.
Your holy book is subject to the same cherry picking as the Bible and OT. What you do and all three do is miss the context of human history as to why the motifs in those books were written the way they were.
In a very literal scientific sense that the writers had no clue of, was the biological reality that the human mortality rate was much higher in antiquity. As such it was important for girls to get pregnant as quickly as possible. Gender rolls on top of that IN ALL THREE placed girls/women as fields to be seeded, baby factories.
For you to equate that ancient book as having any morality that today's world population of women should want, is absurd. In antiquity girls were property and bargaining chips between families.
We still see gender rolls in all three religions today depending on sect. Amish, Mormon, LDS, and even sects of Hinduism and Sikhs still value promises of marrying girls off for dowry.
There is not one holy book of antiquity that reflects what our species should want in equality between the sexes. ALL holy books reflect the social norms of antiquity having nothing to do with modern reality.
Instead of making excuses for that book, why don't you get on your fellow Muslims who do treat women like property and convince them. We already accept the rights of women so you do not need to peddle your god to us.
